Bask in the heat of the Caribbean this summer. The Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa is offering a red-hot savings package for families to experience the ultimate summer escape to paradise.

Parents can take their children under the age of 12 and not pay a penny extra. Through December 2007, kids under 12 stay, eat and play for free. If families book reservations before March 31, they can receive 25 percent off room rates, which start at $115 per night. Three nights are required per stay, and a maximum of one child per adult gets in free.

Located on the island of St. Thomas, the resort sits on a cliff and has a secluded beach. On 31 acres of tropical land, its 300 guest rooms and suites provide scenic views of Smith Bay.

Its private beach provides many activities to keep families entertained. Guests can sunbathe and soak in the rays or participate in water sports during the day. For those active guests, the resort offers sailing trips to the nearby Virgin Islands, snorkeling, diving, windsurfing, mini-golf, a basketball court and six tennis courts. Calypso music and fire-eating create lively entertainment at night.

Parents can have time to themselves when their children venture over to the Grotto Grove Kids Klub. Activities for kids age 4 to 12 occur each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No parents are allowed as youngsters build Popsicle stick boats, or go on snorkeling excursions.

Spa days are not just for women anymore. The Spa at the Island Hotel is offering different treatments specifically for men.

The Gentleman's message includes a blending of kneading and acupuncture, which relieves tension from tissues. Men receive a 30-minute hand treatment and hand massage with the Sports Manicure package for $65. For those always on the go, the Travel Recovery Message can help men relax and unwind. It includes a massage with soothing oils. For $185, men will feel renewed by this 60-minute session.

Located in Newport Beach, Calif., the hotel has views of the nearby islands of Balboa, Lido and Catalina. The beach and Newport Harbor are just minutes away. The Spa facility has nine treatment rooms, each supplied with linens, pillows and heated blankets.
