Microsoft Corp. has replaced Google, Inc. as Digg's online advertising partner. For the next three years, Microsoft will deliver advertisements in the form of small, relevant text links on Digg.com. Digg, with more than 17 million visitors every month, is the first big-banner customer for Microsoft's adCenter platform since the company signed a deal with Facebook last summer. Microsoft will look to boost adCenter's value for advertisers in competition with Google, the current leader in search advertising. The software giant, after successful deals with Digg and Facebook, may be able to link with other social networking websites.
