Omnicom's Zimmerman Advertising has added a vital new component dubbed the "Z-Media Exchange" to its "virtual advertising agency" concept: media planning and buying services. The innovative product is the ad agency's latest move to create a market for mass, customized, automated advertising services and enables local retailers to purchase radio and TV spots online. Z-Media Exchange will allow agency executives to have access to the available inventory of a particular market, make an offer, and raise the bid, if needed. When a deal has been completed, the buy is executed and the spot is delivered. Zimmerman Advertising, based in Florida, is one of the largest advertising agencies in the U.S. with more than 1,000 full-time associates and offices throughout the country.
