The Mayflower Park Hotel is marking the occasion with the "Gates of Paradise Package" that includes two admission tickets and classic guest room. The Seattle Art Museum is just a short walk from the hotel in downtown Seattle.

The panels depicting biblical stories of Adam and Eve, Jacob and Esau and David and Goliath will be moved back to Florence to be reassembled in the original doorway. They are never expected to travel again, according to the High Museum of Art, a collaborator of the exhibit.



Rates for the Gates of Paradise Package are $189 for a classic guest room and $209 for a deluxe guest room, tax not included.

SOMETHING'S SIMMERING IN SANTA FE

Aspiring chefs can add some spice to their visit to Santa Fe, N.M. The Eldorado Hotel and Spa's "Southwest Cooking" package provides novice and seasoned cooks with hands-on experience on how to prepare a traditional Southwest meal at the nearby Santa Fe School of Cooking.

The two-night package includes participation in a half-day cooking session, accommodations, daily breakfast, commemorative Santa Fe cookbook, a personalized, embroidered apron and dinner at the award-winning Old House Restaurant. For those who have more culinary questions, or need inside tips on Southwestern cuisine, a one-on-one meet and greet with one of the hotel's chefs can be arranged.

Seasonal cooking classes feature menus ranging from traditional New Mexican, Native American, Mexican, Spanish, vegetarian and contemporary Southwestern cuisine. The three-hour sessions are taught by some of the best chefs in the region. The classes are being offered Oct. 30, Tuesdays and Saturdays from Nov. 3-27, and Dec. 8 and 15.

MEET UP AT MANGO BAY

Vacationers can find an all-inclusive value at the 76-room Mango Bay in Barbados with prices reduced up to 25 percent off regular-season rates for travel this fall.

Now through Dec. 14, rates start at $385 for a standard room, $415 for a superior room, $460 for a deluxe room, $525 for an oceanfront room and $1,500 for the Penthouse Suite. Rates are per room, per night, based on double occupancy.

Mango Bay's all-inclusive vacation features accommodations; food and drinks; nightly entertainment; watersports such as water-skiing, Hobie Cat sailing, kayaking and snorkeling; a shopping excursion to Bridgetown; a glass-bottom boat ride; and a catamaran sail for a day at sea.

A wedding package is available for an extra $600 in addition to the regular all-inclusive room rates. The wedding package includes a wedding coordinator, clergyman, administration and marriage license fees; round-trip transfers to obtain the marriage license; decoration of wedding arch; boutonniere for the groom and wedding bouquet for the bride; one bottle of champagne; and a one-tier wedding cake. Other amenities such as a photographer, steel band music and extra champagne are available for an additional charge.

Mango Bay is within walking distance of many shops in Holetown, 25 minutes from the capital city of Bridgetown and 40 minutes from Grantley Adams International Airport.
