Description
Humana is seeking a Member Engagement Strategist/Senior Product Marketer to join a high performing Wellness organization with a focus on loyalty and rewards for members in the Medicare and Medicaid segment. As part of an industry-leading team, this person will help empower results for our members by delivering innovative and effective solutions that drive participation and engagement for the Humana Wellness portfolio of products across their assigned lines of business.
Reporting to the Lead Marketing Campaign Management & Member Engagement, the Member Engagement Strategist plans, recommends and implements marketing communication programs using a variety of media channels, promotions and events designed to increase awareness and engagement for the organization's products and/or services. This marketer's work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a results driven marketer with significant experience developing and implementing direct-to-consumer (DTC) and/or brand marketing assets, campaigns, and product marketing strategies in complicated, highly regulated industries such as insurance or financial services. Additionally, this strategic marketing role demands a strong understanding of marketplace trends and changes, marketing campaign orchestration and integration, and product/solution positioning and messaging.
Leads planning, testing, executing, and optimizing multi-channel direct marketing campaigns that deliver against business and sales goals
Coordinates the development of creative content, ensuring approvals are attained from business partners, internal clients, and compliance & legal departments
Partners with advertising agencies and internal teams to ensure creative brief and deliverables for each marketing campaign are on strategy, on time, and on budget
Formulates and executes test strategies focused on improving key metrics. Initiates efforts to improve direct marketing capabilities and results
Monitors, interprets and reports marketing campaign performance and effectiveness to departmental colleagues and other internal and external constituencies; provide strategic direction and guidance based on analysis of results
Develops deep customer and product knowledge to help evangelize the key go-to-market benefits that resonate with Medicare and Medicaid members.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, Business or other related field
7 years of direct marketing strategy experience - preferably in the managed care, insurance, or financial services industry
Demonstrated skills in messaging and positioning offerings in various forms of media (e.g., direct mail, email, video, online, social).
Highly organized and detail oriented with advanced proof-reading and quality control skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Superior project management skills; proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressures and deadlines to complete assigned tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Strategic thinking, leadership, and collaboration
Ability to serve as a true champion for the consumer; exhibit passion and empathy to build meaningful communications by understanding their needs and desires
Preferred Qualifications
Prior health insurance industry experience with a preference given to candidates who have exposure to Medicare and/or Medicaid
Experience with retention marketing and loyalty and rewards programs
Experience building organic social and/or community groups
Strong analytical skillset with ability to find actionable, pragmatic solutions to complex problems
