What We’re Looking For:
Our in-house creative agency is looking for a talented and motivated creative director to lead our global design team, which includes graphic designers and production artists. The person who will fill this position will work closely with stakeholders across the marketing and creative teams to direct the visual strategy for a range of marketing assets to support our portfolio and product marketing efforts. The creative director works with their managers to facilitate growth and development for designers at various stages in their careers.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Lead and support the graphic design and production teams to deliver high-performing, quality creative
Define the creative strategy for marketing efforts that support products across the portfolio.
Art direct large-scale projects, such as ad campaigns, product launches, websites, and email campaigns.
Foster a culture of risk-taking to stay ahead of the curve in design innovation, and lead lively and effective brainstorms to generate ideas and high-performing creative solutions.
Manage a large portfolio of fast-moving work while pushing the team toward new ideas and collaborative thinking.
Manage and develop the graphic design and production managers to success
Guide and develop managers and support them in their professional development goals.
Empower managers to independently make decisions and pivot quickly in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Provide creative direction and context to the managers so they can confidently lead work and support the designers and production artists.
Advocate for staffing, development, and training resources, as needed.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the marketing organization
Partner with front-end developers to fully understand the capabilities and limitations of our systems, and effectively direct the design within the parameters of our content management systems.
Collaborate with our UX and design systems teams to ensure designers and production artists are able to uphold our internal and partner brand identities.
Understand and communicate best practices across a range of data-driven marketing channels, including paid social advertising, conversion-focused landing pages, email, and organic websites.
Initiate and inspire new creative ideas and approaches that strengthen our brands and improve the performance of our marketing products.
Actively participate in the growth and evolution of the creative team
Work with team leadership to appropriately resource the team with tech, budget, and personnel.
Lead design talent acquisition strategy: vet portfolios and conduct interviews with graphic designer and production artist candidates.
Work closely with creative team leadership to establish new processes and efficiencies across the creative team.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in relevant field a plus
10 years of graphic design experience; 5 years management experience
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
Portfolio demonstrating the following experience:
design and art direction for a variety of brands
design and art direction for a variety of channels, including advertising, web and email, print and out of home
campaigns that employ emotional and rational drivers
Exceptional interpersonal (written and verbal) communication and presentation skills
A discerning eye for branding aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail
Strong people-management skills, with an ability to give feedback and direction in a way that motivates and excites creatives
Calm, flexible, and able to inspire the team even when they are working under pressure or with tight deadlines
Experience working as a designer or art director within an agency (preferred)
Experience in higher education (preferred)

In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is
$120,000.00 with potential bonus and equity eligibility. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate’s assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.
